D.C. man turns self in, charged with strangulation and domestic assault and battery

Strangulation | Domestic Related – On Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at 4:20AM, officers with the Prince William County Police Department responded to a residence located in the 13400 block of Nascoby Ln. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic, according to Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer. The victim, a 40-year-old woman, reported to police that earlier that morning she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim against the wall and grabbed her throat. Eventually the parties separated, and the accused fled the area. The victim reported minor injuries.

During the investigation, the victim reported a previous incident on Oct. 6, where the accused struck the victim before grabbing her throat. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Dominic Eugene WRIGHT, who turned himself in to police the following day.
