Sheriff Glendell Hill, who services Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park, has announced that his office in Manassas is now accepting applications for the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute (VSI) Scholarship Program for the 2016-2017 school year.
These scholarships were established to provide young people across the state of Virginia with financial assistance in their pursuit of an educational curriculum in the criminal justice field, according to a news release from Sheriff Hill.
This program is limited to students attending Virginia colleges and universities, majoring in the criminal justice field.
Those majoring in law or pursuing a career as a lawyer will not be considered a criminal justice major for these particular scholarships.
Applications for the VSI Scholarship Program can be found at http://www.pwcgov.org/sheriff or call the Prince William County Sheriff’s Office at 703-792-6070 to have one mailed.
The completed application, with required documentation, must be received at the Prince William County Sheriff’s Office, 9311 Lee Avenue, Manassas, VA 20110, not later than Friday, April 15, 2016. Applicants are cautioned against forwarding applications to the VSI Office.
