County police officer struck during altercation in Manassas parking lot

Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) – On February 24 at 11:26PM, an officer was proactively patrolling in the 8300 block of Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) when she observed a physical altercation between a male and a female in a parking lot.

Officers made contact with the suspects and determined that they were both intoxicated. When officers attempted to detain them, they both resisted. During the encounter, the female suspect struck an officer.

Both of the suspects were eventually detained and subsequently transported to the Adult Detention Center. No injuries were reported.

Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, domestic assault & battery, obstruction of justice, and public intoxication
Court Date: April 13, 2018 | Bond: Released on a $2,500 secured bond

Raymond Lee HEPTINSTALL, 41, of 11638 Iron Brigade Unit Ave in Bristow
Charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, and public intoxication
Court Date: April 13, 2018 | Bond: Released on a $4,500 unsecured bond
