County police investigate fatality in front of Hylton High School

Crash - Fatality - On September 6th at 2:55PM, police responded to the 14000 block of Spriggs Rd in Woodbridge (22193) for a crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2008 Ford Mustang was traveling northbound on Spriggs Rd when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a bicyclist on the sidewalk in front of Hylton High School. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. The investigation into the cause of the crash is still under investigation. No charges have been placed at this time. The identity of the deceased will be released after the next of kin is notified.
