County police investigate bank robbery, armed robbery and string of burglaries

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Bank Robbery – On May 6 at 1:07PM, officers responded to the BB&T Bank located at 12435 Dillingham Sq in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. An employee reported to police that an unknown man approached the bank area and then displayed a knife demanding money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area on foot in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported. Additional information to include pictures will be released when available. The investigation continues.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 6’00”, 200lbs with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a dark raincoat with a dark hoodie jacket underneath, grey or dark urban camo pants, and black with white shoes

Armed Robbery – On May 6 at 6:25PM, officers responded to the 17400 block of Denali Pl in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 30 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was delivering Chinese food to a home in the above area when he was approached by two unknown men. The suspects attempted to get the delivery man to enter the house, but when he refused they produced a handgun and relieved him of the food and money. 

The suspects then slammed the front door to the house. The victim returned to the restaurant and called police. The victim advised that the house appeared to be vacant. Officers checked the residence and discovered that a rear ground floor window had been smashed out. Officers, including a police K-9 responded to search the area for the suspects.  No suspects were located and no injuries were reported.  The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary While Armed – On May 6 at 5:43AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16600 block of Barge Cr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary in progress. The investigation revealed that two male suspects made their way into the residence through an unlocked door and confronted the occupants. During the encounter, one of the occupants, identified as a 23 year old male, was struck in the face by a gun. The suspects then fled the home with a backpack and money. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located.  No injuries were reported. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary- On May 8 at 2:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9000 block of Stoney Run Pl in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:15PM on May 7 and 12:45PM on May 8. The investigation revealed that entry was possibly made through the rear balcony door.  There were no signs of forced entry.  An orange Garfield piggy bank, a pink and green Nintendo controller, a package of Scotts toilet paper, a green jacket and money were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On May 5 at 9:00PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 4400 block of Worchester Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00PM and 8:45PM on May 5. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through the front door which was found damaged.  A white & pink pearl necklace, debit card, and money were reported missing. 

Residential Burglary – On May 5 at 9:33AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7800 block of Well St in Manassas (20111) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 5:00AM and 6:00AM, entry was made through the garage door. The garage door was found partially opened and the garden shed and 24’ trailer parked beside the residence, had been tampered with. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing was reported missing.
