County police investigate abduction and burglaries

**INCIDENTS**

Abduction | Burglary | Domestic Related – On April 28 at 1:30AM, Prince William County Police Department officers responded to a residence located in the 3100 block of Talon Eagle St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 23-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was asleep in her room when the accused, an acquaintance, broke into the residence and woke her up.

During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s phones breaking one of them and preventing her from calling the police. The suspect then left the residence and stole some liquor from the victim’s vehicle as the police were contacted.

The accused fled the area on foot prior to police arriving at the home. Further investigation revealed that the accused also broke into the residence on April 27. During that encounter, the accused struck the victim several times and preventing her from leaving. After officers left the residence following the initial investigation, the accused entered the residence again. The victim again contacted police and the accused fled the area prior to officers arriving. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Joshua BARRETT. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Wanted for 3 counts of burglary, 1 count of abduction, 1 count of grand larceny, 2 counst of preventing the summoning of law enforcement, 2 counts of domestic assault & battery, and 1 count of destruction of property

Residential Burglary – On April 27 at 11:24PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14400 block of Filarete St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the home reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00AM on April 26 and 11:15PM on April 27. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through the rear glass door which was found shattered. A television, gaming console with controllers, laptop computer, and money were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On April 27 at 7:19AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5600 block of Northton Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:00PM on April 26 and 7:00AM on April 27. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry. Entry is believed to have been made into the residence through an unsecured basement window. A vehicle and jewelry was reported missing.

Attempted Commercial Burglary – On April 26 at 2:34PM, officers responded to the Bluepoint Wellness and Spa located at 2080 Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted burglary. An employee reported that sometime between 7:20PM on April 25 and 9:00AM on April 26, entry was attempted into the business through the front door that was found damaged. No entry was made into the business and no property was reported missing.
