County police arrest suspect in Nov. 18 stabbing case

Malicious Wounding *ARREST –
On Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020 the suspect that Prince William County Police were looking for in connection to the malicious wounding that was reported to have occurred in the 2700 block of Wakewater Way in Woodbridge (22191) on Nov.18, was arrested. The accused, identified as Michael Lynn WILLIS, was located in the Woodbridge area, and taken into custody without incident.

Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On Nov. 18 at 7:49PM, officers responded to the 2700 block of Wakewater Way in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a stabbing. The victim, a 28-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were inside his vehicle when a verbal altercation escalated. During the encounter, the accused brandished a knife before stabbing the victim. The victim was able to get out of the vehicle and walk to a nearby business where police were contacted. The accused fled the area in his burgundy 1999 Mercedes SUV. Upon arrival, officers attempted to render aid to the victim until rescue personnel arrived at the location. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Michael Lynn WILLIS. Attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful.
