City police investigate larceny and burglary in Manassas

Larceny
On December 9, 2013 Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9300 block of Sumner Lake Blvd for a report of larceny.  According to the victim, someone(s) stole a package off her porch containing gift cards containing an undisclosed amount of funds.  The delivery date on record with the delivery company was December 5, 2013 at approximately 6:10PM, however, the victim did not receive the package.

Burglary
On December 7, 2013 Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 8800 block of Cather Ave for a report of a burglary.  According to the reporting party, someone(s) broke into the residence through the rear door and stole several tools.  Among the stolen items were a tile cutter, an air compressor and a mitre saw.
