Cab driver arrested after allegedly locking passengers in cab

**ARRESTS**

Abduction – On May 6 at 3:30AM, officers responded to investigate an ongoing abduction in the 13200 block of Nassau Dr in Woodbridge (22193). The investigation revealed that the victims, identified as a 32-year-old woman, a 29-year-old woman, and a 22-year-old woman all of Woodbridge, solicited a taxi in Washington, D.C. for a ride to a destination located in the 13200 block of Nassau Dr in Woodbridge.

When the taxi arrived at the victims’ destination, there was a verbal dispute concerning the taxi fare between the victims and the taxi driver, later identified as the accused. When the victims stated they could not pay the fare, the accused locked the car doors and drove away from the destination with the victims still inside of the taxi.

During the encounter, the accused refused to stop and let the victims exit. At one point, one of the victims was able to contact another family member who began to follow the taxi in another vehicle. Approximately ten minutes later, the victims were able to unlock one of the rear doors and jump from the taxi as it was moving.

The victims then got into the family member’s vehicle and followed the taxi until it stopped at a nearby business located in the 13600 block of Mapledale Ave.

Officers arrived a short time later and made contact with all the parties involved. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Charged with 3 counts of abduction

Malicious Wounding | Stabbing Investigation – On May 6 at 6:06AM, Prince William County Police Department officers responded to an apartment located in the 14100 block of Fisher Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 28-year-old man of Woodbridge, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused stabbed the victim in the arm. The parties eventually separated and the police were contacted. Officers arrived and detained the accused without incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Richard Brice ZBOROFSKY, 38, of 8200 Mary Jane Dr in Manassas
Charged with malicious wounding and stabbing in the commission of a felony

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On May 6 at 12:04AM, an officer was patrolling in the area of Sudley Rd and Coverstone Dr in Manassas (20109) when he observed a two vehicle crash. Upon making contact with one of the drivers, the officer determined that the driver was intoxicated and arrested her without incident.  While transporting the accused to the Adult Detention Center, the accused began to hyperventilate. Fire and Rescue responded and eventually cleared the accused. As officers were placing the accused back in the police cruiser, the accused spit on an officer. The accused was eventually detained and transported to the Adult Detention Center without any further incident.

Livia Pereira COHEN, 28, of 11986 Coverstone Hill Cir in Manassas
Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, driving under the influence, and refusal
