Busy time for residential burglaries or attempted burglaries in PWC

Incidents released by Prince William County VA Police Department on Monday, June 13, 2016

**INCIDENTS**

Malicious Wounding – On June 10 at 11:55PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8100 block of Community Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 26 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a glass bottle and struck the victim in the face causing severe lacerations. The accused left the home after the altercation. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused, identified as Jose Arnulfo ALCANTARA AREVALO. Attempts to locate this suspect have been unsuccessful.

Jose Arnulfo ALCANTARA AREVALO, 44, of the 10200 block of Farragut Ct in Manassas
Described as a Hispanic male, 5’7”, 180lbs with a medium build, short black hair, brown eyes, and a mustache
Wanted for malicious wounding

Residential Burglary – On June 12 at 12:46PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 2800 block of Woodmark Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. A resident reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 2:30AM on June 11 and 11:00AM on June 12. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the apartment through an unsecured window.  A PlayStation 3 and a computer tablet were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On June 11 at 12:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6400 block of Token Forest Dr in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 4:00PM on June 6 and 8:30AM on June 9. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a rear door which was found damaged. Entry was also made into a detached shed on the property. Copper scrap was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On June 11 at 12:37AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6000 block of Ponhill Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 8:30AM and 12:30PM on June 10. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a window which was found damaged.  Jewelry, a purse, laptop computer, and money were reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 13 at 12:35AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16500 block of Bobster Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that he heard his garage door open. When the homeowner looked out the window, an unknown man was seen outside the garage and fled on foot when he saw the homeowner. No entry was made and no property was reported missing. Officers checked the surrounding area for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.

Black male, between 17 & 24 years of age, 5’4”, 130lbs with black short hair
Last seen wearing a white shirt and red and blue shorts

Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 11 at 5:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12000 block of Hazelwood Dr in Nokesville (20181) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that 3 unknown men attempted to enter the home sometime between 11:30PM on June 10 and 12:30AM on June 11. The investigation revealed that the homeowner woke to the sound of an unknown noise coming from the front door. The homeowner opened the door and confronted the 3 men who claimed to be looking for a friend that supposedly resided at the home. The men immediately left the area. No further contact was made and no property was reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 11 at 12:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6400 block of Token Forest Dr in Manassas (20112) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 4:00PM on June 6 and 8:30AM on June 9. The investigation revealed that entry was attempted into the home through multiple doors which were found damaged. No entry is believed to have made into the residence and no property was immediately reported missing.
