Burglars hit phone store and tobacco shop in PWC

**INCIDENTS**

Attempted Armed Robbery – On June 25th at 12:24AM, officers responded to the KFC located at 1307 Devils Reach Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 33 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was an employee of the business and was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot which she was approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, one of the men pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the victim. The victim told then men she did not have any money, at which point, the men ran to a nearby vehicle and fled the area. No injuries were reported. The victim was unable to describe the suspects.

Commercial Burglary – On June 24th at 2:33AM, officers responded to the Verizon Wireless Store located at 16708 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an alarm activation. Officers arrived at the business and discovered the front class door was broken out. The business was checked and no suspects were located inside. Numerous cell phones, total value around $5,000, were reported missing. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect(s).

Commercial Burglary – On June 23rd at 8:00AM, officers responded to the Hanadco Tobacco Shop located at 10374 Festival Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:30PM on June 2nnd and 7:55AM on June 23rd.The investigation revealed that entry was made into the business through the front door which was forced open. No property was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On June 22nd at 8:30PM, officers were working a concert assignment at Jiffy Lube Live located at 7800 Cellar Door Dr in Bristow (20136) when a patron approached police to report a sexual assault. The victim, a 49 year old woman of Colonial Beach VA, reported to police that she was attending the concert and fell asleep on the lawn area. When she woke, an unknown man was lying beside her and touching her inappropriately. The accused walked away from the victim and was eventually detained by police on an unrelated manner for being publicly intoxicated. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with aggravated sexual battery
