Burglars busy; jewelry, money reported taken during four home burglaries

Prince William County Police report they are investigating four residential burglaries Feb. 25-26, according to Off. Renee Carr, public information officer:

Residential Burglary – Woodbridge: On February 25 at 3:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4700 block of Hedrick Ln. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the home reported to the police that the burglary occurred sometime between 7:30AM and 3:00PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through the rear glass door which was found damaged. Two computers, jewelry and an undisclosed amount of money were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – Dumfries: On February 25 at 5:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15900 block of Cove Ln. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 9:00AM and 4:15PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through the basement window which was found damaged. Jewelry was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – Gainesville: On February 26 at 12:17PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7600 block of Northington Ct. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 6:00AM on February 23 and 12:00PM on February 26. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through the back door which was found damaged. Jewelry, sunglasses and an undisclosed amount of money were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – Gainesville: On February 26 at 7:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8100 block of Cerromar Way in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 7:30AM and 6:30PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through the back door which was found damaged. Personal paperwork and an undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On February 24 at 12:30PM, officers responded to the River Run Apartments located in the 13900 block of Hedgewood Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. An employee of the complex reported to police that entry was made into the unsecured sprinkler room sometime between 6:00PM on February 16 and 10:00AM on February 17. Power tools were reported missing.
