**INCIDENTS**
Malicious Wounding – On May 24th at 2:00AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5300 block of Satterfield Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 17 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, and a female resident of the home were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pulled out a pocket knife, at which point, the victim attempted to intervene and sustained a cut to his chest. The victim was taken to an area hospital where police were notified. The accused left the area prior to police arriving at the home. Following the investigation, a warrant was obtained against the accused. Injuries sustained by the victim were non-life threatening.

Residential Burglary – On May 25th at 10:34AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1500 block of Maurice Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00PM on May 24th and 9:00AM on May 25th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked window. Numerous copper pipes and 2 jack hammers, total value around $1,600, were reported missing.
Commercial Burglary – On May 24th at 9:36AM, officers responded to Hillendale Medical Care located at 13168 Centerpointe Way in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an alarm. Officers arrived and located a window to the business which was forced open. Officers checked the business and determined no one to be inside. No property was reported missing and no suspect(s) was seen.
Residential Burglary – On May 23rd at 8:41AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3900 block of Sunny Brook Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:50AM and 8:35AM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Prescription medications, total value around $50, were reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On May 24th at 8:13PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2000 block of Mayflower Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 3:00PM and 8:13PM, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the home through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Murder Investigation – On May 23rd at 1:09PM, officers responded to the 1900 block of Darlington Lp in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a stabbing. Officers arrived at the scene and located an adult man on the sidewalk suffering from a stab wound to the upper body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation revealed that the victim went to the suspect’s residence in the above area where a verbal argument ensued between the two men on the front stoop of the home. The argument escalated when the suspect pulled out a knife and fatally stabbed the victim. The suspect was taken into custody at his residence without further incident. The suspect and victim were known to one another. This incident is Prince William County’s second murder of 2014.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer – On May 26th at 1:39AM, officers responded to the 14500 block of Earlham Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a disorderly. Caller reported to police that an unknown man was heard yelling in the above area. Officers arrived and observed a man, later identified as the accused, standing in the front yard of a home. During the encounter, the accused became agitated and aggressive towards a female who walked up to him. The officer attempted to intervene, at which point, the accused grabbed the officer and pushed her backwards. No injuries were reported. The accused was arrested without further incident.

Residential Burglary – On May 24th at 3:40AM, officers responded to the 5100 block of Tilbury Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an initial report of a stabbing. Officers arrived and located the accused who reportedly claimed to have been stabbed in the arm by two unknown men while he was walking in the above area. During the investigation, officers discovered that the accused actually sustained his injuries while attempting to break into a residence on the street. The homeowner reported to police that he was awoken to the sound of his home alarm system. While checking the house, the homeowner located a shattered basement level window. The homeowner then observed the accused yelling on the front yard of the residence. No property was reported missing. The homeowner and the accused are known to one another. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
