Burglaries in Gainesville and Woodbridge

Incidents and arrests released on Tuesday, March 3, 2015

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On March 2nd at 3:54PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14800 block of Cartagena Dr in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:10AM and 3:54PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through the front door which was found damaged. Several interior rooms were rummaged through; however, no property was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On March 2nd at 4:42PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1800 block of Tilletson Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00AM and 2:00PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a rear sliding glass door which was found damaged. A TV, iPad and other electronics were reported missing.

Strong Armed Robbery – On March 3rd at 1:25AM, officers responded to the 3600 block of Brockenbrough Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 21 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was walking to his residence when he was approached and assaulted by three men. During the assault, the suspects took the victim’s wallet, keys and cell phone before running to a white Acura SUV and fleeing the area. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.
Suspect Descriptions:
All 3 suspects were described as black males, 6’0”-6’2”, 180-200lbs with medium builds, two of the men had long dreadlocks while the third had short hair
The short haired suspect was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt; both suspects with deadlocks were reportedly wearing all dark clothing and masks
