Best wishes for the year ahead

Today is January 1, 2013, the first day of the new year.

In a recent informal survey by Observer Newspaper of favorite numbers, #13 was mentioned favorably as a lucky number in Prince William County, VA. One man said 13 was the date of his mother’s birthday. He’s also reported luck playing B-13 in bingo and 13 in other games.

Another man said he’s been picking 13 as his lucky number for years in defiance of the number being so-called unlucky. He’s had good luck with 13, too, he says.

Regardless of your “lucky number,” may the coming year bring good news, good friends, good health and good cheer.
