Battlefield and Forest Park earn prestigious invite with great music

Talented choir students and musical directors won Battlefield and Forest Park High Schools coveted invitations to perform for the Virginia Music Educators Association.

The choirs will perform separately at the association’s annual conference at the Homestead in Hot Springs, Va., on Thursday, Nov. 17.

PWCS arts supervisor Dr. Ed Stephenson was quoted as saying, “It is quite rare for two choral groups from the same school division to be selected for this; it is a big honor for these schools and Prince William County Public Schools, but you only have to hear them to know why they’re performing.”
