Prince William County VA Police Department’s arrest report for Monday, June 8, 2015.
**ARRESTS**
Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On June 6th at 9:24PM, officers responded to the 12200 block of Cinnamon St in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a fight. When the officer arrived, a woman, later identified as the accused, was observed acting disorderly and striking the side door of an occupied vehicle. As officers approached the accused, she was given commands to stop her actions which she refused and struck one of the officers in the chest. A struggle ensued and the accused continued striking the officer, knocking off his glasses and ripping the badge from his shirt. The accused was eventually detained without further incident. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Malicious Wounding – On June 4th at 12:01AM, officers responded to the Rimpall Inn located at 7399 Old Centreville Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 21 year old man of Culpeper, and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife and cut the victim to his upper body. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The accused fled the scene prior to police arriving in the area. A police K-9 located the suspect a short time later. During the arrest, the accused actively resisted and was eventually detained. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with malicious wounding and resisting arrest

Malicious Wounding – On June 3rd at 4:27PM, officers responded to the Adult Detention Center located at 9320 Lee Ave in Manassas (20110) to investigate an assault between two inmates. The investigation revealed that the accused approached another inmate, a 53 year old man, and assaulted him, knocking him unconscious. The assault was allegedly unprovoked. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Malicious Wounding | Attempted Malicious Wounding – On June 4th at 6:24PM, officers responded to the 2900 block of the Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a fight. The investigation revealed that two individuals, identified as Jasper BATES and Franchesca JACKSON, were in the area above when they saw and confronted another man, identified as Marques BURKE, at his vehicle in the parking lot over an ongoing issue. During the encounter, the BATES suspect picked up a large landscaping rock and threw it at BURKE’s vehicle. The impact shattered the rear window of the vehicle and the rock nearly struck a 6 year old boy seated in the vehicle at the time. A physical encounter ensued between both men, at which point, the BURKE suspect picked up one of the landscaping rocks and struck the BATES suspect in the head, knocking him unconscious. After that encounter, the JACKSON suspect approached BURKE and began assaulting him over the incident with BATES. The BURKE suspect left the area prior to police arriving and was eventually located at his residence on Blazer Lp. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, all parties were arrested.

Franchesca Marquita JACKSON, 32, of 13145 Minnieville Rd, #49 in Woodbridge
Charged with assault & battery and disorderly conduct

Child Endangerment – On June 7th at 8:26AM, officers responded to investigate a crash which was reported to have occurred in the 10100 block Lomond Dr in Manassas (20109) earlier that morning around 5:00AM. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 5 year old girl, was sitting unrestrained in the lap of the accused when the vehicle was involved in a crash. Both the victim and the accused were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash. As a result, the victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to area hospital for treatment where police were contacted. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Charged with child endangerment
Court date: pending | Bond: $7,500 secured bond
Child Abuse – On June 6th at 4:42PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10800 block of Campaign Ct in Woodbridge (20109) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed that the accused struck the victim, an 8 year old boy, with a belt multiple times between June 1st and June 2nd. The accused and victim are known to one another. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On June 7th at 12:15AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13300 block of Huntington Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic dispute. During the investigation, officers attempted to arrest the accused on an unrelated matter. During the arrest, the accused resisted and kicked one of the officers to his chest. The accused was eventually detained without further incident. Minor injuries were reported.

Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle | Felony Escape without Force – On June 6th at 7:31PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4300 block of Whitmer Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an unauthorized use of a vehicle. The vehicle owner reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, took their vehicle without permission. Officers responded to the residence of the accused located on Joplin Rd where he was located hiding under a bed in a back bedroom. Officers further learned that the accused was wanted by another jurisdiction on an unrelated matter. The accused was handcuffed and placed in the backseat of a police cruiser where was then able to free one of his hands, reach through a window and open the door. A police K-9 and helicopter were used to search for the suspect. The accused was eventually located the next day at a residence on Gordon Blvd where he was arrested without further incident.

Charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, felony escape from custody without force, petit larceny and driving on a revoked license
