Arrests made in cases involving malicious wounding and child pornography

Incidents and arrests released on: Monday, April 28, 2014 by Prince William County Police Department:

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding – On April 27th at 9:14AM, police responded to the 12700 block of Tadworth Pl in Woodbridge (22193) to investigation a domestic disturbance. The victim, a 25 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, had a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face with his fist before fleeing from the residence. The victim then reported the incident to police.  Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.
Arrested on April 27th:
Charleston Lamar HARRIS, 31, of the 12700 block of Tadworth Pl in Woodbridge
Charged with malicious wounding

Possession of Child Pornography – On April 23rd, detectives from the Special Victims Unit concluded an extensive investigation involving the possession of child pornography by a registered sex offender. As a result of the investigation, two search warrants were executed, one in the 9000 block of Jerrys Cir in Manassas (20111), and the second, in the 7500 block of Prince Cole Ct in Manassas (20110). While conducting the searches, detectives located an electronic device containing child pornography. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Randy William HERMAN, Jr., 26, of 7504 Prince Cole Ct in Manassas
Charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography
Court date: June 12, 2014 | Bond: Held without bond


**INCIDENTS**

Strong Armed Robbery – On April 24th at 3:52PM, police responded to the area of Yellow Lily Ct and Rosemary Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery.  The victim, a 15 year old female juvenile of Manassas, reported to police that while walking in the above area she was approached by an unknown female. During the encounter, the female struck the victim with her fist and took her cell phone before fleeing from the area on foot. Officers were not able to locate the female. No injuries were reported.
Suspect Description:
Black female, between 16 & 17 years of age, 5’2”, 120lbs with thin build and black hair
Last seen wearing a black cheetah print shirt, black legging style pants and black boots

Commercial Burglary – On April 26th at 8:50AM, police responded to Chemung Contracting, located at 7201 Rail Line Ct in Gainesville (20155).  An employee reported to police that the burglary occurred between April 25th at 8:00PM and April 26th at 6:55AM. There were no signs of forced entry. Entry was made through an unsecure door. Miscellaneous tools, valued around $12,700, were reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On April 24th at 1:32PM, police responded to Trinity Kitchen and Bath located at 13164 Centerpoint Wy in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary.  An employee reported to police that the burglary occurred between April 24th at 2:51PM and April 25th at 8:30AM. Entry was gained when an unknown person(s) pried open a secured door.  A laptop, valued around $2,000, was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On April 26th at 9:07PM, police responded to the 11800 block of Sinclair Ln in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between April 15th at 11:15PM and April 17th at 1:30PM.  There were no signs of forced entry.  An undisclosed amount of US Currency, metal detectors and a game system controller, valued around $250, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On April 25th at 3:49PM, police responded to the 4800 block of Kentwood Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:45AM and 3:45PM. Entry was made through a rear sliding glass door that was pried open. Various property, prescription medication and an undisclosed amount of US Currency, valued around $1,800, was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On April 25th at 1:54PM, police responded to the 2800 block of Myrtlewood Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred on April 24th between 9:00AM and 10:00PM.  Entry was made into a garage attached to the residence through an open garage door.  Entry was not made to the inside of the residence.  A bicycle, valued around $200, was reported missing.
