Arrests made in cases involving child endangerment, malicious wounding, strong armed robbery

**ARRESTS**

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Residential Burglary – On May 3rd at 12:22AM, officers responded to a responded located in the 8300 block of Yorkshire Ln in Manassas (20111) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 19 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and a male acquaintance were sleeping in their room when the accused, a known male acquaintance, forced open the door to their room and assaulted the victim. During the encounter, the accused pulled out a knife and cut the victim to her neck and arm. After the altercation, the accused fled the home on foot but was located and detained without further incident. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation further revealed that the accused supposedly mistook the victim for someone else. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with aggravated malicious wounding and burglary

Reckless Child Endangerment – On May 4th at 12:44AM, officers responded to the 2800 block of Woodmark Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a found child. The caller reported to police that she located a three year old child walking along the street unsupervised. After being unable to locate the child parents, police were notified. Officers responded and were able to locate the child’s residence. The residence was checked by police and was determined to be unoccupied. A phone number was obtained for the child’s mother, identified as the accused. The accused was contacted and returned to the home. The investigation revealed that the child was outside and unsupervised for approximately an hour. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. The victim was not injured.

Charged with reckless child endangerment

Residential Burglary – On May 4th at 8:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16500 block of Telescope Ln in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that he arrived home and discovered a rear door to the residence was open. The homeowner further reported seeing multiple suspects fleeing from the backyard area of the home. Multiple officers responded and established a perimeter around the neighborhood. A police K-9 was also used to search for the intruders. The K-9 was eventually able to find two suspects in a wooded area near the residence. After a short foot pursuit, both suspects were arrested without further incident. No property was reported missing from the home. Following the investigation, both suspects, identified as juveniles, were arrested.

**UPDATES**

Strong Armed Robbery | Stolen Vehicle *ARREST: On May 3rd, members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force located and arrested the suspect involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred at the Sheetz Convenience Store located at 4021 Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge on April 30th. The suspect was arrested in a wooded area in Manassas without incident.

Strong Armed Robbery | Stolen Vehicle [Previously Released] – On April 30th at 12:45AM, officers responded to the Sheetz Convenience Store located at 4021 Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge (22193) for a robbery.  An employee of the store reported to police that an unknown man, later identified the accused, reached across the counter and stole money from the register as the employee completed a transaction.  After the accused stole the money, he fled from the store in a vehicle parked outside. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen on April 30th at 12:04PM from the 9900 block of Pennsylvania Ave in Manassas (20110). The vehicle was stolen when it was left unoccupied with the keys in the ignition. During the course of both investigations, detectives were able to identify and obtain warrants for the accused. A weapon was not displayed or implied during the robbery.  No injuries were reported. The accused has not been located.

**INCIDENTS**

Strong Armed Robbery – On May 3rd at 5:59PM, officers responded to the16800 block of Toms River Lp in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The victim, an 18 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he arranged to meet with an unknown person via a social media site in the area above to sell two pairs of shoes. Once in the area, the victim was approached by the subject and two other unknown men. During the encounter, the victim was assaulted and robbed of the shoes before the men fled on foot. No weapon was seen or implied. The victim sustained minor injuries. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.

Black male, between 17 & 18 years of age, 5’10”, 210lbs with a heavy build, short black hair, and a dark complexion
Last seen wearing a white tank top and blue sweatpants

Black male, between 17 & 18 years of age, 5’11”, 160lbs with a thin build, short brown hair, a light complexion, and tattoos on his front chest & shoulder
Last seen wearing a gray tank top, gray sweatpants, and gray sneakers

Black male, between 12 & 13 years of age, 4’10”, 80lbs with a black short dreadlocks and a dark complexion
Last seen wearing a blue shirt with the “Sponge Bob” character on the front

Commercial Burglary – On May 4th at 11:04AM, officers responded to Anne Moncure Park located at 4450 Waterway Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. Staff reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00PM on May 3rd and 10:30AM on May 4th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the concessions building on the property through a door which was pried open. Candy, total value around $50, was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On May 3rd at 11:27PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2200 block of Wheel Cog Pl in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM on April 22nd and 12:00PM on April 24th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Jewelry, total value around $5,500, was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On May 3rd at 12:22PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10100 block of Carlington Valley Ct in Manassas (20111) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00PM on May 2nd and 8:00AM on May 3rd. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the homeowner’s vehicle parked in the driveway. Once inside, the suspect(s) used the garage door opener to open the garage door. A projector and camcorder, total value around $620, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On May 2nd at 11:01PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8000 block of Stillbrooke Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00AM and 5:00PM on May 1st. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On May 2nd at 7:34PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12200 block of Launch Ln in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:30AM and 7:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Jewelry, total value around $9,500, was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On May 2nd at 3:51PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6400 block of Catharpin Rd in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30AM and 3:51PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into a detached garage through an unsecured door. A weed eater and chainsaw, total value around $400, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On May 1st at 9:44AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9300 block of Rustic Breeze Ct in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00PM on April 27th and 9:40AM on May 1st. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a basement level window which was broken out. Electronics, total value around $9,800, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On April 29th at 10:35AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9800 block of Montyville Ln in Manassas (20111) to investigate burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:45PM on April 28th and 7:00AM on April 29th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the garage area of home. There were no signs of forced entry. Once inside, the suspect(s) entered two vehicles and removed miscellaneous property, total value around $100.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On May 1st at 10:21AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12900 block of Tonka Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that at around 6:00AM, his residential alarm activated. At the time, the homeowner believed the alarm was accidentally activated by another resident of the home. Later in the day, the homeowner discovered, what appeared to be, pry marks on a basement level door. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
