Armed bank robbery in Dumfries; police K-9 responding to scene
Bank Robbery – On October 6 at 3:30PM, officers responded to the United Bank located at 17054 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an armed bank robbery.
The investigation revealed that a black male suspect entered the bank and approached the counter where he brandished a firearm and demanded money.
The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the bank on foot. No injuries were reported.
A police K-9 unit is responding to the scene. Residents can expect a heavy police presence in the area as the investigation continues.
