Incidents and arrests released by Prince William County Police Department on Wednesday, July 6, 2016
**ARRESTS**
Felony Animal Cruelty – On June 28 at 11:52PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 16700 block of Blackjack Oak Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an animal cruelty complaint. The caller reported to police that two dogs had been left unattended for more than 24 hours by two family members. Upon checking the apartment, one of the dogs, a 2 year old lab mix, was found entangled in its leash and deceased. Another dog, an 8 month old golden retriever, was found tied up in a bathroom. Neither dog had access to food or water. Animal Control Officers responded and took possession of the golden retriever. The deceased dog was transported to a state lab for a necropsy and further examination. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of both the accused on July 3. On July 4, both of the accused turned themselves into police without incident at the Gar-Field Station in Woodbridge.

Raul De Jesus MANZANO-ANDRADES, 22, of 2300 Vantage Dr, Apt 4071, in Woodbridge
Karina Iveth GUARDADO-ORELLANA, 19, of 2300 Vantage Dr, Apt 4071, in Woodbridge
Both were charged with 2 counts of felony animal cruelty

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 5 at 10:26PM, detectives with the Street Crimes Unit were in the area of the 2800 block of Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22913) when they observed a suspicious vehicle. When detectives made contact with a passenger of the vehicle, identified as the accused, they determined he was in possession of drug paraphernalia. When the officers attempted to arrest the accused, he resisted and struck two detectives before attempting to run away. The accused was quickly detained without further incident. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on July 6:
Ernest HOLSTON, 47, of 3511 Briarwood Dr, Apt 2, in Dumfries
Charged with 2 counts of assault & battery on a LEO, 1 count of possession of a schedule I or II narcotic, and 1 count of resisting arrest

**INCIDENTS**
Strong Armed Robbery | Malicious Wounding – On July 5 at 5:40PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 8200 block of Shoppers Square in Manassas (20111) earlier that afternoon. The victim, a 79 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached from behind by three unknown men. During the encounter, one of the men placed his arm around the victim’s neck while the other men held his hands down and rummaged through his pockets. At some point, the victim was repeatedly punched in the face breaking several bones. The suspects took the victim’s wallet before fleeing the area. After the altercation, the victim walked to his residence before eventually contacting police. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. The victim was not able to provide any suspect information. The investigation continues.
Malicious Wounding – On July 4 at 2:38PM, officers responded to the 1200 block of Annapolis Way in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 25 year old man of New York, reported to police that he and the accused, a family member, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife then stabbed and bit the victim on the hand. The parties eventually separated and the accused left the area in a black Honda Civic. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On July 6 at 1:09AM, officers responded to the area of West Longview Dr and Grayson Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. Several callers reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the above area. Officers checked the area and located shell casings on the roadway. No injuries or other property damage were reported.
Residential Burglary – On July 5 at 1:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3000 block of Dessert Palm Ct in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary in progress. A resident of the home reported to police that she was in the kitchen when she heard an interior door leading to the garage slam shut. When the victim looked out a front window, she saw an unknown man running away from the house. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. There were no signs of forced entry and no property was reported missing. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked garage door.

White male, between 20 & 40 years of age, 5’08”, 145lbs with black hair
Last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans
