All lanes of southbound Interstate 95 have re-opened after an emergency bridge deck repair near Exit 133/Route 17 in Stafford County.
Crews temporarily repaired a hole in the right travel lane by covering it with secured steel plates.
A permanent repair is scheduled for tonight starting at 9 p.m. The right lane on southbound I-95 will close again at the Route 17 overpass. Additionally, the on-ramp to I-95 southbound from Route 17 westbound will be closed overnight during the work zone.
Southbound I-95 motorists may still exit to Route 17 eastbound and westbound at the I-95 interchange.
Tonight, crews will remove the steel plates and place concrete on the bridge deck.
