Residential Burglary – On August 19 at 9:30PM, Prince William County police officers responded to a residence located in the 8600 block of Trenton Chapel Way in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The caller reported to police that the home’s alarm system activated at 9:25PM. The homeowner checked the basement area of observed the basement door open and a potential suspect’s shadow behind it. The homeowner immediately returned to an upper floor. Upon returning, the shadow was no longer seen. No property was reported missing and there were no signs of forced entry into the home.
Residential Burglary – On August 19 at 5:12PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10600 block of Dumfries Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed the burglary occurred sometime between 5:00PM on August 9 and 4:00PM on August 19. Entry appeared to have been made into the home through a window which was found damaged. Money, shoes, a cell phone and other property were reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 20 at 10:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13000 block of Putnam Circle in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary-in-progress. The caller reported to police that they heard a window in their basement shatter. Officers determined an unknown suspect threw a brick at the window and attempted to make entry. The suspect eventually fled the area on foot without making entry into the residence. No property was reported missing.
