Acquaintance, 53, held without bond in aggravated sexual battery case

**ARRESTS**

Aggravated Sexual Battery | Domestic Assault & Battery – On September 25 at 1:15PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2100 block of Callao Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 49-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated, according to Officer NAthan Probus, police department spokesman.

At some point, the accused pushed the victim against a wall and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, the accused sexually assaulted the victim and struck her in the face. The parties eventually separated and the victim contacted police. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Deames Clemitson OWENS, was arrested without incident.
