Strong-Armed Robbery – On March 17 at 12:36AM, officers responded to a business located in the 2800 block of Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 27-year-old woman, reported to police that she was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused punched the victim in the face then took her keys.
The accused then went outside and retrieved a bat, which she used to damage the victim’s vehicle. The accused eventually left the area in her own vehicle and the victim contacted police. Following the investigation, officers obtained several arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Markel Elizabeth YATES. On March 19, the accused turned herself in without incident at the Gar-Field Station.
