A number of residential burglaries reported to county police

**UPDATES**

Armed Robbery *ARREST – On September 20, detectives with the Robbery Unit identified the suspect involved in a robbery which occurred at the Red Roof Inn located at 10610 Automotive Dr in Manassas earlier that morning. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for the arrest of the suspect, identified as Barryton Quinn CAMPBELL. The accused was arrested on September 25 in Maryland by members of the US Marshals Task Force. CAMPBELL remains incarcerated in Maryland pending extradition back to Virginia.

Charged with robbery and using a firearm in commission of a felony

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On September 20 at 11:41AM, officers responded to the Red Roof Inn located at 10610 Automotive Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 25-year-old woman, was in a room at the motel with the suspect when he brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took the victim’s purse and fled in a vehicle. No injuries were reported. This incident was not random. The investigation continues.

**INCIDENTS**

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On September 24 at 8:25AM, officers responded to the 2900 block of Stockholm Way in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate some found shell casings. The investigation revealed that several callers reported to police hearing gunshots in the above area around 2:34AM that morning. Officers checked the area and discovered no damage or shell casings at that time. Later that morning, a resident located several shell casings in the roadway. No injuries or property damage were reported.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On September 24 at 2:30AM, officers responded to 3000 block of Golansky Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. Several callers reported to police that they observed a white SUV driving recklessly in the parking lot. At some point, several shots were fired from the vehicle into the air. As the vehicle was leaving, it crashed into another vehicle in the parking lot before fleeing the area. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On September 23 at 11:47PM, officers responded to the Woodbridge Elks Lodge located at 14602 Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that there was a large party being held at the Elks Lodge. During the event, a large crowd gathered outside in the parking lot. At some point, multiple gunshots were heard and the group immediately dispersed. Officers checked the area and located a shell casing in the parking lot. No injuries or property damage were reported.

Peeping Investigation – On September 23 at 12:31AM, officers responded to the Ravens Crest Apartments located in the 11100 block of Rienzi Pl in Manassas (20109) to investigate two peeping incidents. The victims, a 27-year-old woman and 56-year-old woman, reported to police that they were in their apartments when they saw an unknown male peering through their windows. The suspect eventually fled the area on foot and both victims contacted police. No other contact was made between the parties. Officers checked the area and did not locate the suspect.

Black male, approximately 25 years of age, 6’00”, with a thin build and short black hair

Residential Burglary –On September 24 at 8:55PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13700 block of Lynn St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 9:00AM on September 22 and 8:45PM on September 24. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through an unsecured window. Clothing, credit cards, and cleaning supplies were reported missing.

Residential Burglaries – On September 23 at 3:30AM, officers responded to the area of Catbird Dr and Sharpshinned Dr in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a suspicious person. The investigation revealed that an unknown suspect was attempted to gain entry into various homes in the area through the back door. A police K-9 searched the surrounding area for the suspect who was not located. Further investigation revealed that the suspect entered a home in the 14200 block of Catbird Dr and took an undisclosed amount of money from a purse.

White male, between 15 & 25 years of age, with a thin build
Last seen wearing black pants, light grey sweatshirt and a hat

Residential Burglary – On September 22 at 8:10PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 10600 block of Provincial Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. A resident of an apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 7:00AM and 7:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry. Clothing items and jewelry were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On September 22 at 8:30AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 7000 block of Lakota Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. A resident of an apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between August 14 and 4:30AM on September 22. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry. Clothing items, jewelry and electronic equipment were reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Sexual Assault Investigation – On September 22 at 1:52PM, officers responded to investigate a sexual assault which occurred at a residence located in Woodbridge (22192) earlier that day. The investigation revealed that the accused was involved in an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old female juvenile. A family member discovered the relationship and contacted police. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On September 21 at 1:35AM, officers responded to Brittany’s Restaurant located at 12449 Dillingham Sq in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate several suspicious individuals. When officers arrived, they made contact with several intoxicated suspects and subsequently arrested them. As an officer was attempting to process one of the suspects at the Adult Detention Center, the accused spit on the officer. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Kareem Tamara TAYLOR, was arrested without further incident.
