New weekend hours for PWC landfill go into effect Saturday, Oct. 30

New weekend hours go into effect Oct. 30 for the Prince William County Landfill on Dumfries Road. The landfill will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday and 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday – Friday.

The Balls Ford Road Compost Facility began these same hours on Monday, Oct. 4.

Both facilities also have the same holiday schedule: 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Christmas Eve; and closed on New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Both facilities are closed to commercial haulers on Sundays.
