The public hearing in front of the Occoquan Town Council on the Mill at Occoquan proposal will take place at 7p.m., on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at the Occoquan Town Hall.
In-person attendance is limited and first come, first served, however, the public may register in advance to participate remotely via Zoom.
In response to feedback since the Planning Commission public hearing, Occoquan Mayor Earnie Porta said the applicant has revised his proposal by, among other things, eliminating one floor and the observation deck (thereby reducing the calculated height from 79 feet to 55 feet), reducing residential units from 80 to 52 (and reducing parking accordingly), reducing the total commercial square footage, increasing the setback, and eliminating bump-outs from the boardwalk.
The Town Council is NOT scheduled to vote on the application at the June 15 meeting. For more information on the project and to register to participate in the public hearing, go to https://www.occoquanva.gov/2021/06/03/town-council-public-hearing-on-the-mill-at-occoquan-project-june-15-2021-7-pm/
