Police report good neighbor struck and bitten in fire alarm incident

Malicious Wounding – On Saturday, May 29 at 11:37PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Summerland Heights Apartments located in the 1800 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a fight with weapons.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a 40-year-old man, went to his neighbors’ apartment upon hearing the fire alarm. As the victim was assisting the residents of the apartment, a verbal altercation ensued between the residents. When the victim intervened, one of the residents, identified as the accused, struck and bit the victim, before the victim was able to separate himself.

Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer, reported that the responding officers located the accused inside his apartment and took him into custody without incident. The victim reported significant injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Harvin ARGUETA HERRERA, was arrested.

Harvin ARGUETA HERRERA, 24, of 14676 Pinon Ct. in Woodbridge
Charged with malicious wounding
Court Date: August 5, 2021 | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond
