Five candidates for Democratic nomination for Va. Governor to debate on TV April 6
The first televised Democratic gubernatorial debate hosted by the Democratic Party of Virginia will take place at Virginia State University and air live across the Commonwealth on Tuesday, April 6 from 7 to 8 p.m.
All five candidates for governor - Lee Carter, Jennifer Carroll Foy, Justin Fairfax, Terry McAuliffe and Jennifer McClellan - will be participating. The debate will be moderated by CBS 6 anchor Bill Fitzgerald, joined by panelists Cheryl Miller and Barbara Ciara.
The debate will be broadcast online at vademocrats.org and wtvr.com and on the following stations: WTVR CBS6, Richmond; WJLA 24/7 News, Northern Virginia; WTKR News 3, Norfolk; and WSET ABC 13 , Lynchburg/Roanoke.
The show will be broadcast from Anderson Turner Auditorium in Virginia Hall, Hayden Street, Petersburg VA 23803
