Police investigate bullet found in kitchen, armed robbery near ATM and a service station burglary

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling –
On May 27 at 10:25PM, Prince William County police officers responded to a residence located in the 18400 block of Kerill Rd. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a shots fired call, according to police reports.

The homeowner reported to police that a bullet entered the home through the front door and was located in a kitchen. The investigation revealed that another resident exited the home and was approached by three unknown men. After a brief verbal encounter, the resident separated and re-entered the home. Once inside, a round was fired before the suspects fled the area.

At this time, the incident is not believed to be random. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. A shell casing was located on the street in front of the residence. The only suspect description available at this time is three black men wearing all dark clothing. The investigation continues.

Armed Robbery at Bank of America – On May 27, officers responded to investigate a robbery that was reported to have occurred at the Bank of America located at 4001 Graham Park Rd. in Dumfries (22026) during the afternoon of May 23.

The victim, a 39-year-old man, reported to police that after he used the bank’s ATM, he observed a dark SUV pull up before an unknown man approached his vehicle. During the encounter, the suspect brandished a knife and held it to the victim’s throat demanding money. After the suspect took the victim’s money, the victim observed a female passenger inside the SUV who was brandishing a firearm towards him.

The suspects fled the area in the SUV in the direction of Old Triangle Rd. No injuries were reported. The victim recently reported the incident prompting the police investigation. No suspect description is currently available. The investigation continues.

Attempted Commercial Burglary of service station in Lake Ridge– On May 27 at 3:13AM, officers responded to the BP service station located at 12576 Grand Targhee Dr. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an alarm activation.

The store owner reported to police that at approximately 2:07AM, entry was attempted into the business through the front door which was found damaged. No entry appears to have been made into the business and no property was reported missing, police said.
