Police investigate four calls about shots fired - bullet hole found in bedroom wall in Bristow home

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On April 24, 2020 at 8:50PM, Prince William County police officers responded to a residence located in the 9000 block of Falcon Glen Ct. in Bristow (20136) to investigate a destruction of property call.

MPO Renee Carr, police department representative, said the homeowner reported to police that at approximately 4:30PM, a gunshot was heard in the above area. Later, the homeowner located a hole in a bedroom wall and damage to the closet door from the projectile.

Officers were able to collect bullet fragments from within the home, Off. Carr said. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On April 25 at 10:35PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the Melrose Apartments located in the 18000 block of Purvis Dr. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a shots fired call. Residents reported to police that gunshots were heard in the above area, according to MPO Renee Carr, police department representative.

The investigation revealed that unknown individuals were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated when rounds were discharged. The suspects fled the scene prior to police arriving at the apartments. No injuries or property damage were reported, Off. Carr said.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On April 26, 2020 at 4:17PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the area of Leaf Lawn Ln. and Windy Leaf Ct. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that an unknown male juvenile was engaged in a verbal altercation with the occupants of a grey Chevrolet Impala, according to MPO Renee Carr, police department representative.

The altercation escalated when the juvenile brandished a firearm and fired multiple rounds towards the vehicle. The juvenile fled the area on foot in an unknown direction while the vehicle fled the area towards the Prince William Pkwy.

Officers and a police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. No injuries or property damage were reported. Officers located and collected shell casings and the bicycle from in front of a residence.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On April 24 at 9:48AM, Prince William County police officers responded to the Hillwood Camping Park located in the 14200 block of Gardner Manor Pl. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a shots fired call.

MPO Renee Carr, police department representative, said that the investigation revealed that the accused fired a round through his camper and into the neighbor’s unoccupied camper. While searching the area, officers located additional damage to the neighbor’s attached vehicle. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as, David Michael HARRISON Jr., was arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On April 26 at 10:46PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13700 block of Kingsman Rd. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that the accused was sitting inside his vehicle and preparing his handgun for storage, when a round discharged and struck his leg. No other injuries were reported. The accused was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Mohammad Taimoor WARIS, was arrested.
