Armed Robbery Series [Previously Released] – On June 24, 2019 detectives with the Robbery Unit began an investigation into two commercial robberies that occurred between 12:24AM and 2:46AM on June 24 at the 7-Eleven located at 7301 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) and the 7-Eleven located at 13360 Minnieville Rd. in Woodbridge (22192).

In both incidents, the suspects entered the store and approached the counter where they brandished a weapon towards the clerk and demanded money. Other suspects appeared to act as lookouts during the encounters. An undisclosed amount of money would be taken before the suspects fled. A police K-9 assisted in searching for the suspects who were not located. No injuries were reported in either incident.

On June 29 at 1:54AM, an additional robbery was attempted at the 7-Eleven located at 14517 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191). No items were taken during that incident, and no injuries were reported. As a result of the investigation, a suspect, a 15-year-old male, was identified and taken into custody by Alexandria police without incident. Detectives are still working to identify the other suspects involved. Additional charges are pending. The investigation continues.
