Police canvassing when shots fired

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On April 21 at 9:25PM, officers responded to the Bayvue Apartments located in the 1300 block of East Longview Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a suspicious person.

While canvassing, officers were informed that gunshots were heard in the above area and located an apartment with damage to a living room window after being struck by projectiles. The residents of the apartment reported to police that they heard a loud bang and then observed damage to their window and wall.

The investigation revealed that three unknown suspects were observed in the area where one of them fired a round before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries or additional property damage were located. The investigation continues.
