PWC Police arrest suspects in armed robbery after assistance from K-9 and community

Armed Robbery –
On March 10 at 4:35PM, officers responded to the 5900 block of Fincastle Dr in Manassas (20112) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 14-year-old male juvenile, made arrangements on social media to conduct a marijuana transaction in the above area.

During the encounter, the victim was robbed of his cell phone by two male suspects who then fled on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 responded and assisted in the search for the suspects who were located after police received tips from the community. The suspects were not known to the victim. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested.

Strangulation | Unlawful Wounding – On March 9 at 10:30PM, officers responded to the 14400 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault.

The victim, a 27-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation while driving on Jefferson Davis Hwy.

The altercation escalated physically when the accused struck the victim in the face multiple times. At one point, the accused began to choke the victim before the accused stopped the vehicle at an unknown gas station.

Once the accused was out of the vehicle, the victim got into the driver’s seat and drove to the above area where she contacted police. The victim was treated on scene by rescue personnel. Officers located the accused, identified as McGary Dean WILLIAMS, at his home on Crossfield Way where he was subsequently arrested.

Peeping – On March 9, at 8:21PM, officers responded to H&M located in Potomac Mills, 2700 Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge (22192), to investigate a peeping incident.

The victim, a 21-year-old woman, reported to police that she was changing inside one of the fitting rooms when she observed the curtain move before looking down where she saw a hand holding a phone with the camera lens facing upwards. The victim finished changing and opened the curtain where she observed an employee, identified as the accused, standing nearby.

The victim contacted police who spoke to the employee regarding the incident. The employee was in possession of a phone which was similar to one observed by the victim. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused, identified as Bonasorn Nakjai POWERS, who turned himself into police later that evening.

Destruction of Property – On March 5 at 10:00AM, the School Resource Officer (SRO) at Stonewall Middle School, located at 10100 Lomond Dr. in Manassas (20109), received information about suspicious graffiti that was reported to have occurred sometime between 5:00PM on March 4 and 7:00AM on March 5.

School staff reported to police that swastika symbols and other words were found drawn on one of the outbuildings near the track. No specific threat was made, and the drawings were removed without causing permanent damage. The SRO was able to identify two students responsible for the damage. On March 10, following the investigation, the SRO charged both students. The case will be handled through juvenile court services.
