Man dies from gunshot wounds in Dumfries Sept. 24; police seek information
Homicide Investigation – On September 24 at 3:51AM, officers responded to the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting.
When officers arrived, they located an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds in the roadway near the above area. The man was transported to an area hospital where he later died. At this time, detectives from the Homicide Unit are actively investigating the incident to determine what led up the shooting. No arrest has been made in this incident. More information will be released when available. The investigation continues.
