Public Safety Day for whole family at County Complex Sept. 21
Meet McGruff, Sparky and first responders during a free Public Safety Day at Sean Connaughton Plaza at the County Complex on Saturday, Sept. 21, according to a county news release.
Also see the fire and police vehicles, take a tour of the 9-1-1 Dispatch Center, watch the public safety helicopter land and see a CPR demonstration.
Also, you can get a kids ID for safe identification of your children from the Sheriff’s Department, get baby and children’s car seats checked for safety and security and take the home fire escape obstacle course.
The Public Safety events will be available to county residents from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the news release stated.
