The district office of Gainesville Supervisor Pete Candland, now at the Sudley North office complex in Manassas, may be moving to Heritage Hunt. According to the staff report, with the recent redistricting. Gainesville District constituents could benefit from having the district office more centrally located within the district. The supervisor’s office has been at the Sudley North complex for 20 years. The report also noted that the Human Services Department located at the Sudley North complex is crowded and needs more space.
The staff report noted that the landlord has agreed to do cover the minimal build out the new office space requires, and that the Adult Detention Center Work Force will move Supervisor Candland’s staff at no cost. Monthly rental negotiated for the new leased space will be $2621.25 or $21.50 a square foot.
