Shooting of Dog
On Feb. 1, 2012, at approximately 3 p.m., Manassas City police officers responded to the 8300 block of Magnolia Court, regarding a shooting of a dog. Upon their arrival, they were advised by the owner that his dog had been shot. Animal Control Officers rushed the dog to an animal hospital in the area but the dog had to be euthanized early this morning due to the extent of his injuries. This investigation is ongoing.

Vandalism
Manassas City police pfficers are investigating a vandalism that occurred between 12:a.m. and 3:30 p.m., on Jan. 30, 2012, in the 8400 block of Saddle Court. The victim advised officers that someone(s) caused approximately $300 worth in damages to her backyard gate. This investigation is ongoing.

Weapons Violation
On Jan. 31, 2012, Manassas City police officers were called to the 9700 block of Pickett Lane, regarding a weapons violation. The victim advised officers that at approximately 3 p.m., three males were walking by her when one of the males brandished a firearm and threatened to shoot her. The only description that the victim gave officers was that all three males were dressed in black clothing. This investigation is ongoing.

Narcotics Citation
On Jan. 31, 2012, at approximately 10:50 p.m., a Manassas City police pfficer was conducting foot patrol in the 9400 block of Liberia Avenue when he encountered two suspicious subjects in a parked vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Amarciel Levaughn Roy, 20, was in possession of marijuana. Roy was cited for Possession of Marijuana and released on his signature. His court date was set for Feb. 21, 2012.
