INCIDENTS
Armed Robbery - On Jan. 19, 2012 at 5:47 a.m., police responded to the area of Hollis Dr and Willoughby Ln in Manassas (20109) for a robbery. The victim, a 31-year-old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was walking to his vehicle in the above area when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the men displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet. The men took the victim’s wallet, which contained an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, before fleeing in a vehicle being driven by an another unknown person. No injuries were reported. Lookout: 2 black males, both between 16 & 17 years of age, around 5’08” / 150lbs, thin build. No description is available for the driver of the vehicle. Vehicle Lookout: Green van, possibly a Ford, unknown year.
Burglary - On Jan. 20, 2012 at 1:14 a.m., police responded to the 14500 block of Faith Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that he was in another part of the residence when he heard noises coming from the lower level. Police arrived and discovered a rear window which had pried opened after the screen was cut. Officers checked the surrounding area and no one was seen. No entry was made into the residence and no items were reported missing.
ARRESTS
Rape - On Jan. 19. 2012, police responded to investigate a rape which was reported to have occurred in the 9400 block of King George Dr in Manassas (20109). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 4-year-old girl of Gainesville, had been sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, while he was watching her at his residence on Jan. 13, 2012. After an investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested and charged. Arrested: Albert Michael HARRYMAN, 49, of 9427 King George Dr in Manassas. Charged with rape, aggravated sexual battery and taking indecent liberties with a child. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond.
Unlawful Wounding - On Jan. 19, 2012 at 8:35 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of Gordon Blvd in Woodbridge (22192) for a domestic. The victim, a 48-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, had forced her way into her residence after being told she could not enter. When the victim attempted to call police, the accused allegedly ripped the phone from the wall. The accused then proceeded to grab a knife before pushing the victim against the wall and threatening her. The victim was able to run from the residence but he accused followed. Once outside, the accused used the knife to deflate a tire on the victim’s vehicle. The accused fled the scene but was located by officers a short distance away where she was arrested without further incident. No injuries were reported. Arrested: Rosheta Warfenia CHASE, 22 - no fixed address. Charged with unlawful wounding, burglary, domestic assault & battery, destruction of property and petit larceny. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond.
Attempted Armed Robbery - On Jan. 18, 2012, police received information of a possible home invasion which was currently being planned. Members of the ATF Northern Virginia Violent Crimes Task Force, in conjunction with, the Prince William County Police Street Crimes Unit investigated and discovered that the accused was in the planning stages of committing a home invasion in the Dale City area. During the investigation the accused disclosed details of the crime to an undercover detective. On Jan. 19, 2012 the accused was arrested without incident and charged. Arrested: Anthony Marquette BROOKS, 21, of 1944 Pohick Creek Ct in Woodbridge. Charged with attempted armed robbery. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond.
Reckless Handling of a Firearm - On Jan. 19, 2012 at 8:41 p.m. police responded to the 15000 block of Sunny Ridge Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a shooting. The caller, later determined to be the accused, SCHOOLFIELD, initially reported to police that she and the other accused, GORDON, were sitting in their living room when they heard a loud bang. After hearing the loud bang, a bullet hole was then discovered in their door. As police were investigating, a second bullet hole was discovered in neighboring residence. No injuries were reported from that residence. As the investigation progressed, it was later discovered that the shots were actually fired from within the caller’s residence and that GORDON had fired a handgun accidently. Both were arrested and charged. Arrested: Maurice Lamont GORDON, 25, of 15049 Sunny Ridge Ct #102 in Woodbridge. Charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and filing a false police report. Court date set for Feb. 22, 2012, held on a $5,000 secured bond. Sadeeka SCHOOLFIELD, 27, of 15049 Sunny Ridge Ct #102 in
Woodbridge. Charged with filing a false police report. Court date set for Feb. 22, 2012, released on personal recognizance.
