UPDATE ON ARREST
On Dec. 20, police identified the second suspect, Myers, in the below listed case. Myers was located at his residence in Bristow without incident Arrested: Andrew Stuart Myers, 22, of 10003 Island Fog Ct. in Bristow. Charged with burglary while armed, malicious wounding, two counts of abduction and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony Court date set for Jan. 25, 2012, held without bond.
Home Invasion
(Previously Released)
On Dec. 20 at 1 a.m., police responded to the 6100 block of Myradale Way in Haymarket for a burglary in progress. The investigation revealed the homeowner was asleep when two men, known acquaintances, entered the residence through an unsecured rear door. The men secured the female, 40 of Haymarket, victim’s feet and hands with tape. The men then located the male, 20 of Haymarket, victim in his bedroom. The men assaulted the victim and took a safe, containing an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, jewelry, valued around $100, and other items, before fleeing the residence. The female victim reported no injuries. The male victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital. This incident was not a random act. During the course of the investigation, the accused, Hall, was identified as one of the men involved. He was located at his residence in Manassas Park where he was taken into custody without incident. The investigation continues. Arrested: Steven Robert Hall, 22, of 9402 Sonia Ct. in Manassas Park. Charged with burglary while armed, malicious wounding, two counts of abduction and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony. Court date set for January 25, 2012, held without bond.
INCIDENTS
Unconscious Person RescueOn Dec. 20 at 1:30 p.m., police responded to the Target parking lot at 4310 Fortuna Center Plaza in Dumfries for a report of an unconscious person. Police arrived prior to fire and rescue and located a woman, 28, inside her vehicle unresponsive. Officers A.J. Wrighten and Patrick Shelley attempted to wake the woman by knocking on the window as all of the vehicles doors were locked and windows up. Also inside the vehicle was a four-month-old infant who was noticeably in distress. It is unknown how long both had been inside the vehicle. Officer Shelley was able to use a Life Hammer on the front passenger side window, away from both occupants. It appears the woman had suffered a medical-related emergency and lost consciousness. She was transported to an area hospital. The infant was not injured and was in good condition. The ‘Life Hammer’ is a device currently used by the police department. The device is commonly used in instances such as these, as well as, the seatbelt-cutter feature. This past year, an on-duty detective was involved in a crash where her seat belt became locked preventing her from getting out of the wrecked cruiser. The Life Hammer was deployed which was able to be utilized to cut the seat belt allowing the detective to be freed.
Burglary With Intent to Commit Assault
On Dec. 21 at 12:51 a.m., police responded to the 15200 block of Streamside Ct. in Dumfries for a possible domestic incident. The female victim, 30 of Dumfries, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, came to her residence and kicked opened the front door. Once inside, the accused assaulted the victim and her daughter, 7, before fleeing. Minor injuries were reported. Warrants are currently on file for the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful. Wanted: Nathan Lamont Ackles, 19, of 3695 Masthead Trail in Triangle. Described as a black male, 5’08” 175 lbs., thin build, short black hair, brown eyes. Wanted for burglary with intent to commit assault, two counts of assault & battery and destruction of property.
Armed Robbery
On Dec. 20 at 8:55 p.m., police responded to the 2900 block of Seminole Road in Woodbridge for a robbery. The male victim, 19 of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the area above, with three other friends, when an unknown man approached the group and displayed a handgun. The group dispersed, however, the victim was grabbed by the man who then demanded money. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and a cell phone from the victim before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. Lookout: Black male, between 17 and 20, 6’01” 180 lbs., medium build. No further description available.
Armed Robbery
On Dec. 20 at 12:18 p.m., police responded to investigate a robbery that was reported to have occurred in the area of Old Triangle Road and Soundview Circle in Triangle on Dec. 19. The male victims, 21 and 20 both of Triangle, reported to police that they were at the bus stop in the above area when they were approached by an unknown man who displayed a handgun and demanded money. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency from the older victim and an iPod, valued around $150, from the younger victim before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. Lookout: Black male, between 18 and 30, 5’10” 170 lbs., medium build. Last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a ski style mask and black boots.
Burglary to Business
On Dec. 21 at 12:35 a.m., police responded to the MJM Auto Sales at 13608 Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge for an alarm. Police arrived and discovered a door unsecured that appeared to have been forced opened. Officers searched the building and did not locate any intruders. No items were reported missing.
Burglary
On Dec. 20 at 11:46 a.m., police responded to the 13700 block of Bluefin Dr. in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 11:40 and 11:46 a.m. Entry appeared to have been made through the front door that had been kicked opened. Jewelry, valued around $20,000, was reported missing.

On Dec. 20 at 10:46 a.m., police responded to the 2800 block of Woodmark Dr. in Woodbridge for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that he was asleep when he awoke to the sound of someone inside the house. Upon investigating the noise, the homeowner observed three males taking items from the residence. The males were carrying a bag of shoes and attempted to grab a gaming console. The homeowner was able to grab the items from the males who then fled the residence. No injuries were reported. All property was recovered. Lookout: All three males were described as Hispanic males, between 15 and 18, 5’08”, two of the suspects were around 150 lbs., medium build, the last suspect was around 200 lbs., heavy build.

On Dec. 19 at 11:45 a.m., police responded to the 4400 block of Evergreen Dr. in Woodbridge for a burglary to a vacant residence. Property owner reported to police the burglary occurred between 9 a.m. June 1 and noon July 31. Entry appeared to have been made through a front window that had been broken out. Copper piping, valued around $5, was reported missing.

On Dec. 19 at 10:32 a.m., police responded to the 13000 block of Queen Chapel Dr. in Woodbridge for a burglary to a vacant residence. Property owner reported to police the burglary occurred between 3:30 p.m. Dec. 16 and 7:30 a.m. Dec. 19. Entry appeared to have been made though a rear sliding glass door that had been forced opened. Copper piping and wire, valued around $8, were reported missing.
