Armed Robbery (Previously Reported)
On Nov. 30 at 7:02 a.m., police responded to the Handy Dandy Market at 13316 Occoquan Road in Woodbridge for a robbery. Clerk reported to police that two unknown men entered the store where one displayed a handgun and demanded money. The men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency before fleeing the store on foot. No injuries were reported.
Armed Robbery Update on arrest
On Dec. 11, police received a crime solvers tip that led to the identity of one of the suspects, Parham, involved in the robbery of the Handy Dandy Market in November. On Dec. 14, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Parham in Timonium, Md. Evidence was recovered linking Parham to the incident. That arrest led to the identity of the second subject, Hale, who was located today, Dec. 15, by the U.S. Marshals Task Force in Prince George’s County, Md. Both accused individuals remain in Maryland awaiting extradition back to Prince William County. Arrested: James Edward Parham Jr., 33, of 7503 Buchanan St # 206 in Landover Hills, Md. Terrell Anthony Hale, 20, of 7511 Buchanan St #321 in Landover Hills, Md. Both have been charged with armed robbery and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
ARRESTS
Malicious Wounding / Destruction of Property
On Dec. 14 at 12:30 p.m., police responded to the 18500 block of Old Triangle Road in Triangle for a disorderly. The female victim, 35 of Triangle, reported to police that she was in her residence in the above area and woke up to the sound of windows breaking. The accused, a known acquaintance, was inside the residence shooting out the windows with a paintball gun. The victim and the accused then got into a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly struck the victim several times in the face causing nonlife threatening injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital. The accused was located a short distance from the residence and was arrested without further incident. The damage to the house was estimated around $1,200. Arrested: Julius Ravnall, 18, of 3105 Chesapeake Dr. in Dumfries. Charged with malicious wounding and felony destruction of property. Court date set for Jan. 17, 2012, held without bond.
INCIDENTS
Burglary
On Dec. 13 at 2:16 p.m., police responded to the 14000 block of Oxbridge Inn Ct. in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between noon and 2:15 p.m. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear sliding glass door, which had been forced opened. Jewelry and electronics, valued around $8,000, were reported missing.
