Job growth in Prince William County was up 4.3 percent from March 2010 to March 2011, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Bureau pegged national job growth at a 1.3 percent increase.
Prince William County ranks first in job growth for Virginia, the Bureau said.
Corey Stewart, chairman of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors, said the county’s s streamlined permitting processes and low taxes helped spur the job growth by bringing businesses to the county.
