Armed Robbery
On Sept. 21 at 1:19 a.m., police responded to the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge for a robbery. The male victim, 24 of Woodbridge, reported to police that he had pulled up the ATM at the Bank of America in the above area when an unknown man approached him, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency from the victim before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. Lookout: Black male, unknown age, 5’07” 160 lbs., unknown build. Last seen wearing a black ski style mask and dark clothing.
Reckless Handling of a Firearm
On Sept. 21 at 12:59 a.m., police responded to the area of Dale Boulevard and Minnieville Road in Dale City for a call of shots fired. Caller reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the area above. Police arrived and searched the area. It appears a round struck the Dale City Recreation Center. The building was unoccupied at the time. No injuries were reported and no suspects were located.
ARRESTS
Armed Robbery
On Sept. 20 at 3:21 p.m., police responded to the Bloom Grocery Store at 5591 Staples Mills Plaza in Dale City for a robbery. The female victim, 41 of Woodbridge, reported to police she was shopping within the store when she was approached by an unknown juvenile female, the accused. The female displayed a knife and demanded money from the victim. The female took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency from the victim before fleeing the store on foot. No injuries were reported. A witness at the scene was able to provide police with the identity of the accused who located and arrested on Sept. 21. Arrested: A 16-year-old female of Dale City. Charged with armed robbery. Court date unavailable, held at a juvenile detention facility.
Burglary
On Sept. 19 at 8:24 p.m., police responded to the 9400 block of Windy Hill Road in Nokesville for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police he had hired the two accused to do landscaping work at his residence while he was at work, between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The homeowner returned home and discovered that his residence had been entered through a garage side door. Two firearms, a knife and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency were found to be missing. Police were able to identify the two accused, who were arrested and charged on Sept. 20. Property reported missing was recovered. Arrested: Joseph Daniel Kirby, 19, of 514 Crestwood St. in Leesburg. Lamar Deonte Taylor, 19, of 103 Halifax Place in Leesburg. Both were charged with burglary and grand larceny. Court date for both set for Nov. 1, 2011, held on a $10,000 secured bond.

Burglary
On Sept. 21 at 1:08 a.m., police responded to the 16600 block of Georgetown Road in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 8 a.m. Sept. 20 and 12:30 a.m. Sept. 21. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear sliding glass door that had been forced opened. An undisclosed amount of U.S. currency was reported missing.
Burglary to Business
On Sept. 19 at 7:50 a.m., police responded to R N B Tracking at 14197 Dumfries Road in Manassas for a burglary. Business owner reported to police the burglary occurred between 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17 and 5 a.m. Sept. 19. Entry appeared to have been made into a trailer on the property through a door that had been forced opened. Tools and other equipment valued around $7,200 were reported missing.
Burglary
On Sept. 18 at 5:22 p.m., police responded to the 4600 block of Evansdale Road in Dale City for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 2 a.m. Sept. 17 and 5 p.m. Sept. 18. Entry appeared to have been made through an unlocked sliding glass door. A TV valued around $750 in addition to an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency were reported missing.
