Del. Rich Anderson (R-51), with School Board Chairman Milt Johns and Brentsville District School Board Member Gil Trenum, will hold a town hall meeting on Thursday, Sept. 22 at the Nokesville Volunteer Fire Department, 12826 Marsteller Drive, Nokesville, to meet with constituents who were moved earlier this year into the redrawn boundaries of the 51st House District of the Virginia General Assembly. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and conclude by 9 p.m.
Del. Anderson will review the 2011 legislative session, the redistricting process for the Virginia House, Virginia Senate, and U.S. House of Representatives and any other matters raised by citizens. Potential legislation for the 2012 legislative session of the General Assembly will also be discussed.
Under redistricting legislation signed by Gov. Robert F. McDonnell earlier this year, the 51st House District now extends across Prince William County from Occoquan in the east to Nokesville in the west.
