ARRESTS
Malicious Wounding

On Aug. 23 at 7:13 p.m., police responded to the 1500 block of Walnut St. in Woodbridge for a fight. The male victim, 31 of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation over a past incident. The altercation escalated and during the encounter, the accused allegedly struck the victim several times with an unknown object. The victim was able to get away and the accused fled. The victim sustained minor injuries. Warrants were obtained and the accused turned himself into police on Aug. 25. Arrested: Arthur Thomas Foss Jr., 26, of 1506 Walnut St. in Woodbridge. Charged with malicious wounding. Court date and bond information unavailable.

Burglary
On Aug. 25 at 11:57 a.m., police responded to the 900 block Regency Road in Woodbridge for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that an unknown man had just kicked opened a side door to the home. The unknown man entered the residence, however, once discovered by the homeowner, the man fled the residence. Police responded and observed a man, later identified as the accused, which matched the description provided by the caller attempting to get into a vehicle, later determined to be his. The man fled on foot and after a short foot chase, police detained the man. A search of the accused revealed that he was in possession of jewelry, value around $285, which had been reported missing from the residence. Latex gloves were also discovered nearby which the accused attempted to dispose of after the burglary. Arrested: Ronald Ahmad Young, 33, of 21 Cypress Rd in Annapolis, Md. Charged with burglary, grand larceny and possession of burglarious tools. Court date set for Oct. 5, 2011, held without bond.

Attempted Burglary
On Aug. 25 at 11:30 a.m., police responded to the 17300 block of Cusack Lane in Dumfries for a burglary in progress. A neighbor in the above area noticed an unknown man, later identified as the accused, attempting to pry open a front window to the residence. Police arrived in the area very quickly and observed the accused walking near the community center on River Ridge Boulevard where he was detained. No items were reported missing from the residence. During the arrest procedure, the accused provided police with a false name but through fingerprints, the identity of the accused was as listed below. The investigation further revealed, through fingerprints recovered at the scene, that the accused was the suspect in a burglary reported from Aug. 7 in 2700 block of Corbin Ct. in Woodbridge (see previous release below). Arrested: Alfonzo Lee Stewart, 24, of 2926 Wetherburn Ct. in Woodbridge. Charged with burglary, attempted burglary and providing a false identification to law enforcement. Court date unavailable, held without bond.
Burglary (Previously Released): On Aug. 7 at 7:28 a.m., police responded to the 2700 block of Corbin Ct. in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 3:30 and 6:30 a.m. Entry appeared to have been made through an unlocked bedroom window. Two laptops and a camera valued around $1,000 were reported missing. 

OTHER INCIDENT REPORTS
Burglary to Business

On Aug. 26 at 4:50 a.m., police responded to the Dunkin Donuts at 8525 Rolling Road in Manassas for a burglary. Employees reported to police the burglary occurred between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 25 and 4:40 a.m. Aug. 26. There were no signs of forced entry. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked side door. An undisclosed amount of U.S. currency was reported missing. 

Burglary
On Aug. 25 at 8:24 p.m., police responded to the 15500 block of Toddsbury Lane in Dumfries for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 9 p.m. Aug. 24 and 5:15 a.m. Aug. 25. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. The homeowner stated his double garage doors on his attached garage were opened and damage, estimated around $300, was observed to his vehicle which was parked inside. No entry was made into the main residence. 

Larceny from Vehicle – Firearm
On Aug. 25 at 10:31 p.m., police responded to the 4500 block of Robey Way in Woodbridge for a larceny from vehicle. Vehicle owner reported to police that sometime between 7:30 and 11 p.m. on Aug. 24, an unknown person(s) entered her vehicle and stole a handgun valued around $500. It is unknown if the vehicle was locked or not. There were minor scratches near one of the doors. 

CRIME SOLVERS CASES
Grand Larceny from Vehicles
On Aug. 25 at 6:24 a.m., police responded to Dominion Power located at 1901 Reddy Dr. in Woodbridge for several larcenies from vehicles. Representatives from Dominion Power reported to police that between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 24 and 6 a.m. Aug. 25, an unknown person(s) forced entry into four work trucks parked on the property. Power tools, equipment and copper wiring valued in total around $6,200 were reported missing.  Anyone with information relating to this case is urged to call Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700 or 1-866-411-TIPS.
