PWC Police Beat 8/8/11

INCIDENT REPORTS
Armed Robbery

On Aug. 7 at 11:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Featherstone Road and Arizona Avenue in Woodbridge for a robbery. The male victim, 35 of Woodbridge, reported to police he was in the area above when he was approached by four unknown men, one of whom displayed a handgun and demanded money. The men took the victim’s wallet containing an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency before fleeing in a vehicle. The victim was unable to provide police with a description of the men. No Injuries were reported.

ARRESTS
Abduction / Domestic Assault & Battery

On Aug. 5 at 1:04p.m., police responded to 14600 block of Balsam St. in Woodbridge for a domestic. The female victim, 26 of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly held her against her will in a basement room and struck her in the leg. The victim was able to get to a different room in the house where the accused forced entry and dragged her down the stairs. The accused left the residence and was later apprehended without further incident. Minor injuries were reported. Arrested: Raeshaun Jeffre Peter Brown, 23, of 6185 Preston Ct. in Woodbridge.  Charged with abduction and assault and battery. Court date unavailable, held on a $2,500 secured bond.

OTHER INCIDENT REPORTS
Burglary

On Aug. 7 at 7:28 a.m., police responded to the 2700 block of Corbin Court in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 3:30 and 6:30 a.m. Entry appeared to have been made through an unlocked bedroom window. Two laptops and a camera valued around $1,000 were reported missing. 

Burglary
On Aug. 5 at 9:50 a.m., police responded to the 2800 block of Beechtree Lane in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Entry appeared to have been made through an unsecured window. A necklace and video games valued around $800 were reported missing. 

Burglary
On Aug. 5 at 9:35 p.m., police responded to the 11400 block of Bacon Race Road in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 6 and 9 p.m. Entry appeared to have been made through an unlocked rear door. An undisclosed amount of U.S. currency was reported missing. 

Burglary
On Aug. 4 at 2:10 a.m., police responded to the 15700 block of Tassleford Lane in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 11 a.m. on July 31 and 9 p.m. on Aug. 1. Entry appeared to have been made through an unlocked window. Electronics and jewelry valued around $1,000 and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency were reported missing.
