Shooting
On July 21 at 1:22 a.m., police responded to the K2 Restaurant at 14633 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge for a shooting. Police arrived and found the male victims, 21 and 22 both of Woodbridge, suffering from gunshot wounds. The investigation revealed that the 22-year-old victim and the accused were known acquaintances. The accused apparently confronted the victim inside the restaurant, for an unknown reason, which turned physical. The altercation continued outside the restaurant in the parking lot where the accused displayed a handgun and shot, striking both victims. The accused was located at his residence on Ashmere Circle where a search warrant was executed. The victims were transported to an area hospital. The 21-year-old victim sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting. The other victim is expected to survive. Arrested: Emmanuel Christian Lugo, 25, of 4510 Ashmere Circle in Woodbridge. Charged with two counts of aggravated malicious wounding and two counts of using a firearm in commission of a felony. Court date set for Sept. 28, 2011, held without bond.

Larcenies of Vehicles
On July 20 8:05 a.m., police responded to the areas of Stepping Stone Drive in Haymarket for several larcenies from vehicles. The investigation revealed that sometime between 10 p.m. on July 19 and 6 a.m. on July 20, approximately 12 vehicles were entered in the areas of Stepping Stone Drive, Danube Way, Courtyard Way and Clementine Way. There were no signs of forced entry into any vehicle. All vehicles were left unlocked or unsecured. Electronics and jewelry valuing over $5,000 were reported missing.
Prince William County Police strongly urges residents to secure their vehicles and remove any valuables while the vehicle is left unattended.
