Fauquier schools to participate in tornado drill Sept. 17

Fauquier County Public Schools will participate in a tornado drill on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. All schools and departments in the school division will participate.
According to an FCPS news release, tornadoes can occur any time of the year with little or no warning; knowing what to do when seconds count can save lives.
The drill will provide an opportunity for Fauquier County Public Schools to practice the tornado emergency plan in order to promote readiness in the event of an actual emergency.
