“Sibshops” events in PWC July 17 & Aug. 18 for siblings of children with special needs

Brothers and sisters, ages 8–11, who have a sibling with special needs, are invited to attend a “Sibshops” workshop and share their challenges and joys.

Sibshops, sponsored by Prince William County Schools and the Arc of Greater Prince William, will be held on Friday, July 17, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at Tyler Elementary School, 14500 John Marshall Highway, Gainesville; and Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at Fitzgerald Elementary School, 15500 Benita Fitzgerald Boulevard, Woodbridge.

Sibshops is a celebration of the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of kids with special needs, according to a news release from Prince William County Schools.

Preregistration is required and the cost is $5 per child/$10 family max.
